Emily Walker: MA, LPC-Associate

Emily, a Texas native, completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Regent University in 2025. She is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate (LPC-A) and is supervised by Sarah Bentz.

Emily did her counseling internship at Hope and Growth Center and is so happy to continue her practice here. Prior to her graduate program, she worked with a nonprofit organization for two years that provides resources and care for young women who have experienced immense amounts of trauma; and Emily also worked as an aide for a non-verbal, special needs boy for three years. She believes it is the highest honor to be trusted with even the smallest part of other's stories, and has always felt passionate about being there for hurting people; walking alongside them in the trenches, however that may look.

After reflecting on how much she grew from seeing a counselor during one of the darkest times of her life, Emily knew this was the field in which she was meant to build her career. She prioritizes addressing the individual health of the mind, body, and spirit, as she believes strengthening the connection between them helps clients achieve greater improvements in their overall well-being. Emily feels that she learns so much from her clients, and that each individual she has the opportunity to serve inspires her to continue to grow, herself.

Outside of work, Emily loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. She loves to travel, do yoga, cook, watch movies, read books, and spend time with friends.
