Karmen Latterell - LMSW, LCDC

Karmen is an LMSW, LCDC. Karmen received her Bachelors in Human Services with a concentration in Substance Use Counseling from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie Texas. After completion of her Bachelors she pursued her Masters in Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington. During her education Karmen dove into the helping profession by working in a two-year in-patient substance use facility, she then transitioned to work with children, adolescents and families in the public school system. She also gained experience working in in-patient mental health facility. 
 
Karmen enjoys working with people who are their own worst critic. Karmen believes that the client is the expert in their own life, her goal is to support you in becoming the best version of yourself. Karmen strives to create genuine rapport with each of her clients, hoping to make them feel safe, welcomed and heard. She will come alongside to laugh, cry, support and challenge you.
 
Karmen loves to learn and continues to educate herself on best practices that will benefit her clients- she uses CBT, strengths-based, and is an EMDR trained therapist. She prides herself in being creative in her approach and tailoring each session to the individual client.  
 
Karmen was born and raised in Fort Worth. In her free time Karmen loves spending time with friends and family, reading, taking naps and spending time by the pool. 
 
Karmen is under the supervision of Brandi Felderhoff LCSW-S.
