Sarah Bentz: MA, LPC-S
Sarah is the owner of Hope and Growth Center. She began her career in counseling right after she graduated from Dallas Baptist University in August of 2009. Before Sarah’s career in counseling she worked with children in Early Education. Though originally Sarah’s thoughts were to be a play therapist given her experience, she found that her calling in counseling was working with adults and adolescents. Sarah describes her decision to becoming a counselor as a calling. The strong desire to be engaged and dedicated to learning in order to be prepared for the career change was indescribable. The experience of learning how to guide and care for others, as well as learning about herself, was an experience she will never forget. She will tell you that it changed her life. It is Sarah’s own experience of change that inspires her to encourage others in their journey of growth. Sarah’s approach to counseling is personable. She meets individuals where they are on their journey by using a variety of counseling methods.
When Sarah is not in the office, she values time with her family and friends. Sarah and her husband have been married for over thirty years. They have three adult children, plus spouses. One of Sarah’s greatest joys has been becoming a YaYa (grandma). She is also crazy about her own pets as well as her “grand-pets”.
