Kelly Johnson holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University after receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Biblical Studies from Dallas Baptist University. Along with private practice, she has worked for a child advocacy center focusing on trauma work and in a case management role helping people of all ages develop coping strategies and achieve their goals. Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief. Kelly has completed level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples therapy and enjoys working with couples to build stronger relationships and marriages. She gains much joy from seeing the benefits of relationship therapy.

Kelly believes that we are designed for relationship and that a safe and authentic relationship with your counselor plays a vital role in healing and growth. She understands that everyone has their personal journey and believes that hope is powerful, and change is possible. With her experience in Trauma-Informed Care and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with other modalities, she strives to equip clients to experience positive mental health and overall well-being. In her free time, she enjoys reading, engaging with her church family, listening to podcasts, spending time with her family, and cooking.

SERVICES: Kelly treats clients 10 years old  to 65 years old
