DeLaina Pruitt: LMSW

DeLaina received her B.S. in Music and Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to pursuing her MSW, DeLaina worked as a teacher and program coordinator. During her MSW education, DeLaina gained experience providing therapeutic counseling services in private practice.

DeLaina enjoys working with individuals experiencing trauma, those who feel overwhelmed by life's challenges, and those navigating significant transitions. DeLaina believes in the client's inherent strength and potential for growth, and her goal is to empower clients to achieve their personal goals. DeLaina strives to build genuine rapport with her clients by creating a safe, supportive, and validating therapeutic environment. She is committed to walking alongside her clients with empathy and understanding.

DeLaina values continued learning and utilizes evidence-based practices to support her clients. Her primary therapeutic approaches include EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She also incorporates a person-centered approach and mind-body techniques like yoga and walking therapy. DeLaina is dedicated to tailoring her therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.

DeLaina's background includes growing up in Texas. In her free time, DeLaina enjoys spending time in nature, golfing, traveling, knitting, reading mysteries, and watching sci-fi with her dog, Watson.

DeLaina has a flat rate of $80 a session and accepts insurance from Cigna, Aetna, and BCBS.
