Brooke Harralson - Student Counselor

Brooke is a graduate student working on her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She graduated with her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from Louisiana Tech in 2009.  Brooke is a mom of two young kids, a 10-year-old son, and an almost 8-year-old daughter. She also has a new puppy and a friendly cat.   Brooke’s previous career was a birth doula and patient advocate for pregnant, birthing, and postpartum women. During that time, she was able to walk alongside people in very vulnerable places and always held it as such an honor.  She also has experience in elementary education and loves working with kids. She has thought for a long time about becoming a counselor and is thankful and excited this chapter of her life is in action and is thankful to be with Hope and Growth Center.

Brooke has a heart for meeting people where they are. Having worked with people all across the lifespan, she believes there is always something to learn no matter what stage of life we are in. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside people as they share their stories and work towards that learning and growth.

Outside of school, work, and mom life, Brooke enjoys spending time outside on her swing, exercising, reading, and visiting local coffee shops for a matcha latte.

Brooke is supervised by Sarah Bentz MA, LPC-S
