Groups are available to anyone! To attend one of our Groups, please contact the counselor that is listed under the group you would like to register for. There is paperwork that will need to be filled out to be a part of a group.

Music Therapy and Verbal Behavior
If your child loves music and needs intentional time to work on their communication skills this summer, this group is for them! Using the verbal behavior approach and music therapy combined, your child will practice verbal operants including echoing, manding (requesting), identifying, motor imitation, intraverbals, and responding as the listener. This group is specifically for children both diagnosed and undiagnosed with a disability hindering their speech and other communicative skills. Children who exhibit low or no verbal skills are encouraged to attend! Music therapy provides unique opportunities to practice these emerging skills in a non-threatening, highly motivating, and structured setting.
Time: 9am-9:45am
Group 1 – Thursdays starting June 1st (4weeks)

Music Therapy Social Skills Group
Leverage your child’s love for music in helping to grow their social emotional skills in our music therapy social skills class this summer. Children ages 4-6 will participate in music interventions that teach appropriate greetings, turn taking, and impulse control all while engaging in verbal and non-verbal peer interactions. These group sessions will be packed with opportunities to grow your child’s social development! Available to children of all abilities.
Time: 10am-10:55am

Music for Social Anxiety: Music Therapy Group for Teens Ages 13-15
This summer, sign your teen up to make music and friends in our music therapy group for teens experiencing social anxiety. Making music provides a unique structure and motivation for teens. This group will allow them a space to speak up, use creative expression and implement appropriate social interactions with their peers. Bring an instrument, your voice, or just your creativity with you!
Time: 11:00am-11:55am

Pre-Teen Girls Ages 12-14 Group (7 weeks)
This special group will provide tools and skills for pre-teen girls to navigate issues with self-esteem, body image and social anxiety in a group format. The group will use Expressive Arts/Art Therapy Techniques and Narrative Therapy Techniques.

Middle School Here We Come
Who: Students entering Middle School
Going into middle school can be a tough and scary, but it can also be a great time of discovery and amazing friendships. After working in public schools for over 10 years with many of those years being middle school experience, Will Wright wants to utilize his experience to help your child have the tools necessary to feel prepared to step into the halls of their new school. We invite your child to join this 5-week group that will cover important topics such as self-advocacy, stress relief, conflict resolution and leadership.
Will Wright has worked for over 10 years in the public schools with many years in middle school. The goal of this group is to help your students feel prepared to step into the halls of their new school. This group will go over topics such as self-advocacy, stress relief, conflict resolution and leadership. Meets weekly beginning July 18th, for 7 weeks.

Adult Bi-Polar Group
This group for adults diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder was created with three goals in mind. We hope to offer resources, community support, and psychoeducation around bipolar disorder and what it is like to experience it.
This group uses the Bipolar Workbook 2nd Edition as a weekly resource. All resources will be provided weekly, the book can be purchased if individuals desire their own copy.
Group meets on the Second and Fourth Wednesdays of the month starting June 14, 2023.
Time: 5:30-7pm
Cost: $35 a week
